Here is a review of my own book, The Hunter, reviewed by JR Thompson...
""The Hunter” was obviously written by an author who has a heart for seeing souls saved. Through its pages, readers will be reminded of what life is like for those who do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ and will inspire believers to do more for the cause of Christ.
I was only able to give this book a three star rating due to a number of factors. Please keep in mind that every reader is different and a book that is not in my taste might be right up another person's alley. With that being said, I wasn't personally drawn to the story and struggled to remember which character was which. Instead of having different speaking parts broken up into different paragraphs, sometimes one paragraph might have three different people speaking and that was confusing for me. I also felt the book contained a lot of repetition. For example... the number of times the word 'bikes' is used in four consecutive sentences: "Lionel and Kevin would be there slightly earlier since they were riding their bikes. Superbikes are fast and dangerous and can throw you off badly if not ridden properly. They knew how to handle their bikes. Lionel and Kevin greeted the other two and left on their bikes." I also want to let other readers know that this book does contain a few instances of lighter curse words.
I understand why the author included them, however, I personally do not appreciate foul language in Christian books and I know there are other Christians out there who feel the same way that I do.
Overall, I believe the author's heart was in the right place. I appreciate the way he is spreading the gospel through a fiction book in hopes that people who will not pick up a Bible might actually read his novel and learn about the huge difference God can make in their lives if they will only give Him a chance.""
Thank you JR Thompson for this review. Much appreciated!
