Words & Voices 2

As I did start with the first post on this subject, here it goes once more. Here are more words that describe a character's voice, or tone of voice, when writing and describing who they are at that point in time. This may just help you...

] Apathetic - someone who shows little interest, lacking any concern, never emotional.
] Ardent - someone who is passionate about something, or enthusiastic.
] Arrogant - someone who is pompous, disdainful or overbearing.
] Awestruck - very amazed, filled with wonder.
] Barbed - someone who is deliberately hurtful, with no remorse or care.
] Barking - uttering a command or questioning abruptly, or is aggressive.
] Benevolent - someone who is tolerant, sympathetic, quite generous.
] Bleak - without hope or encouragement; a "party pooper".
] Bombastic - someone who inflates everything they say or do, but no meaning to it.
] Brash - who is self-assertive in a rude, noisy or overbearing way.
] Breezy - appearing relaxed, an informal person, and cheerily brisk.
] Brittle - lacking warmth, sensitivity or compassion.
] Burbling - speaking in an unintelligible or silly way.
] Callous - Never cares, no feelings for anyone, and ruthless.
] Caustic - someone who makes biting, corrosive comments; always critical.

And that's it for now. More will follow in due course as the week progresses. Enjoy! Keep on writing and publish that best ever book...
